Female Suicide Bombers Hit Market In Maiduguri

Two female suicide bombers have struck a crowded market in Maiduguri the Borno state capital early this morning killing several people.  Eyewitness told Sahara reporters that the suicide bombers detonated their explosives across from the Monday market in the metropolis this morning around 11:30 AM.

NFF to send Keshi on refresher course abroad

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has given a hint that Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi won’t be fired by his board, but rather would send him for a refresher course abroad.
Upon announcing the sacking of Keshi a month ago, Pinnick revealed the coach and his assistant turned down the opportunity to go for refresher courses to be sponsored by the board.

The wife of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Mrs Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo will turn 99 tomorrow November 25th. The president just released a statement wishing her happy celebrations..
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan heartily congratulates Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Dideolu Awolowo on the joyous occasion of her 99th birthday anniversary, Tuesday, November 25, 2014.

President Jonathan and his family join millions of admirers of the late nationalist, renowned political leader and sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo in wishing his “Jewel of Inestimable Value” very happy birthday celebrations.
The President prays that God Almighty will grant Chief (Mrs.) Awolowo many more years of worthy service as the matriarch and moral compass of the great Awolowo political dynasty which continues to play a commendable role in national development and progress.
President Jonathan looks forward to personally participating in the celebration of Chief (Mrs.) Awolowo’s landmark 100th birthday next year to honour the highly-revered spouse of one of Nigeria’s famous founding fathers.

P-Square loses dad two years after losing their mum

Two years after losing their mum, the Okoye boys have lost their father. Mr Okoye died yesterday November 24th. A source close to the family told LIB exclusively that the late Mr. Okoye recently had a successful knee surgery and was about going for physiotherapy when he just fell. So sad. Hon. Patrick Obahigbon speaks grammar about national assembly

Former member of the House of Representatives and current Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, would not cease to amaze Nigerians with his high command of English mixed with a smattering of Latin or whatever language he pleases to use at any given time.
The Edo State born lawyer turned politician whose tenure in the House completely confused his colleagues, has been quiet for a while now but after the brouhaha at the National Assembly where honourable members were locked out, chased away and tear gassed yesterday by the police, he took to his Twitter account and lambasted the scenario in, well, his own way.
